Disasters can strike suddenly and without warning. What if a wildfire forced you to evacuate? Could you help a co-worker who was choking? By taking a few simple steps, you can Be Red Cross Ready for emergencies.
Step 1: Get a kit.
Create a disaster supplies kit with essentials such as water, food, medicines, and a first aid kit. Keep these supplies in a sturdy, portable container.
Step 2: Make a plan.
Develop evacuation and communication plans for your home and office and practice them.
Step 3: Be informed.
Learn lifesaving skills like CPR and First Aid and stay informed of the type of disasters that can happen in our area.
